Advisor to Chief Minister for Sports, Government of Sindh, Dr Muhammad Ali Shah, while addressing the members of Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry on Tuesday, expressed that Sindh Government on the advice of Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan had reserved Rs 60 million for improvement and development of games in Hyderabad.

He said the playgrounds in Hyderabad were being developed on modern lines, adding that Board Stadium would be changed into Sports Complex and floodlights would be fixed on the ground so that the grounds could be used during night hours as well. The ground will also be provided with artificial truff.

He said cricket ground would also be developed at Hyderabad Club and Sports Complex was also being established at Kohsar Area. He admiring the efforts of HCCI said it had always been working for the promotion of games in Hyderabad, and hoped that the HCCI would continue to work towards development of games in the area. He expressed that the Government of Sindh was holding 16th Sindh games in Hyderabad this year. Before this during the past five years the Sindh games have been held at, Sukkur, Larkana and Mirpurkhas. Before this HCCI President Gohar Ullah, welcoming the Honourable Advisor to Chief Minister for Sports, lauded his services for the development of games in Sindh and expressed that the business community of Hyderabad had always been active in promotion of games such as cricket, football, handball or indoor games like badminton and table tennis etc. Dr Muhammad Ali Shah was accompanied with Secretary Sports, Saeed Awan; Director Sports, Shahid Abdul Salam; Olympian Salahuddin and Sami Khan. MNA Salahuddin and former MNA Tayyab Hussain and a large number of business community were also present.
